It feels like Christmas...

Finally got my first samples of digital prints onto fabric this week, it felt like Christmas...
that moment when you don't know if you'll like what you get, will the colours actually be what I wanted?...

... Phew thankfully they match the rest of my product samples, now its just time to get the stitching and knitting started!!

Beamish!!

What better way to start Easter off than a trip to Beamish!!

Visiting the fair...

The carousel is the inspiration for one of the motifs which I have taken forward into my digital prints.

Another aspect of fairgrounds which I did not research, this is something I will consider if I find that I need to complete more drawing work or if I take this theme further into other projects!

Finally, I just had to go to the sweetie shop, no trip to Beamish is the same without it...

Nothing like balloons to bring out your inner child..

Step 2: Any excuse for some balloons!!

They were for research and drawing I promise!

Oh, I do like to be beside the seaside...

After deciding upon a theme of fairgrounds and carnivals i set about gathering inspirational imagery:

Step 1: a trip to the oh so unsunny seaside...

... and no trip to the seaside is complete without fish & chips!
